After 20 years of InfoSec & App Sec, it's clear that something is not working. We've been spending so much time & money we are still hit by a continuous stream of news and information about data losses and breaches positions the InfoSec industry in a unique situation. It also puts all of us security practitioners under the spotlight with everything to gain and lose. There was never a better time to take a deeper look into how we got here as an industry, what's working and what's not, and why it feels that we are failing. Tsion (TJ) Gonen is the founder & CEO of Protego Labs, a Serverless Application Security Pioneer, Prior to founding Protego, TJ served as SafeNet's Chief Strategy Officer, where he was responsible for developing SafeNet's global business and product strategies. Prior to assuming his role as Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Gonen was responsible for overseeing the company's Data Protection product portfolio strategy and execution. Mr. Gonen joined SafeNet in April 2009 from Aladdin Knowledge Systems, where he led Aladdin's global sales and marketing efforts, focusing on driving the company's go-to-market strategy and sales execution. Prior to that role, Mr. Gonen led Aladdin's Content Security business unit, directing its growth strategy in the worldwide enterprise market.
