Abstract

The foundations on which networks, and the security of those networks have been architected are shifting. The data and the users are migrating. The applications are transforming. These fundamental environmental changes will drive enterprise architecture further towards a public model of communications. Where is this journey taking us, and how do we maintain operational sanity while leaning forward to take advantage of this new landscape.

Mike Richard is a Solution Architect with Zscaler where he engages with both architectural teams and IT executives to drive network transformation projects. Prior to joining Zscaler Mike held various engineering & architecture positions at Time Warner Telecom and Riverbed; was a member of the Office of the CTO at Virtela Technology Services; and lead the initial product team at Singularity Networks. With experience from both a service provider and enterprise perspective, he has been working to develop more efficient and elegant ways of addressing network & security architecture for the past 15 years.
